Why Dr. Bita Attends the Invisalign Ortho Summit

Orthodontics does not stand still. Every year the techniques, the digital planning tools and the clinical research behind clear aligner treatment move forward, and the doctors who take that seriously go find the new information rather than waiting for it to arrive. That is why Dr. Bita Moalej attended the 2026 Invisalign Ortho Summit, Align Technology’s clinical education event for orthodontists who treat a high volume of Invisalign cases.

The Summit brings together orthodontists from across the country for sessions on treatment planning, biomechanics, complex case management and the newest developments in aligner technology. For a practice like ours, it is a working event, not a trip. Every session Dr. Bita sits in on is a session that eventually shows up in how your treatment plan is built.

Recognized as a Top Doctor

At the 2026 Invisalign Ortho Summit, Dr. Bita was recognized as a Top Doctor, an acknowledgment given to providers whose Invisalign case experience places them among the most active clear aligner orthodontists in the country.

Recognition like this is not the point of the work, but it does tell you something useful as a patient. Volume builds pattern recognition. An orthodontist who has planned and finished a very large number of aligner cases has already seen the crowding, the deep bites, the relapse cases and the mid-treatment surprises that a lower-volume provider may be encountering for the first time. That experience is what makes it possible to tell you honestly, at your first visit, whether clear aligners are the right tool for your case, and roughly what it will take to get you there.

What This Means for Your Treatment

Continuing education only matters if it reaches the patient chair. Here is where it actually shows up in our practice:

  • Better case selection. Knowing which movements aligners handle well, and which ones genuinely need braces or a hybrid approach, means fewer surprises halfway through treatment.
  • Smarter planning. Attachment design, staging and the timing of refinements are judgment calls. They are made better by seeing how thousands of cases have responded.
  • Fewer detours. Catching a tooth that is not tracking early keeps treatment on schedule instead of adding months at the end.
  • Straight answers. If clear aligners are not the best option for you, we will say so. That is easier to do from a position of experience.
